MEAM.Design - MEAM 150 - A1: Engineering Drawings

Out:

Monday, January 24th

Due:

Monday, January 31st (submit at the beginning of class)

Details:

Find an object of moderate complexity that you think could be reproduced using a milling machine. If the object is an assembly, it is okay to treat it as a single part. There should be features on at least 3 sides, with somewhere around 15-20 dimensions in total.
On a single 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper, hand sketch the orthogonal views necessary to represent the part, and one isometric view.
Add dimensions (measured to the best of your ability) and notes as necessary.
You should probably take a look at some of the Stirling engine part drawings for examples of proper dimensioning techniques.
