The GRASP Lab Supports STEM Education in the Philadelphia region by providing training, mentoring and assistance to local schools and robotics teams. During the school year, GRASP members train STEM educators and provide interactive tours of GRASP to students and teachers. The school year activities culminate in an open house for National Robotics Week which takes place in April of each year.
Summer is also a busy time in GRASP. The Robotics Summer Academy in Applied Science and Technology is a three week long intensive learning experience for Penn credit and is taught by six GRASP graduate and postdoctoral students. GRASP also participates in the Girls in Engineering Math and Science Camp (GEMS) at the end of the summer which is a program for local middle school girls.
GRASP is committed to showing students the many exciting opportunities in STEM and robotics education.
