TUTORIALS AND WORKSHOPS
Tutorials and Workshops for IEEE CASE 2009 will take place on August 22, 2009, at the Indian Institute of Science campus. The role of these events is to provide a systematic and in-depth coverage of cutting edge topics of interest to the automation community. Four tutorials and four workshops are lined up according to the following schedule:

- TUTORIAL: Modern Data Mining Techniques for Automation by Shirish Shevade (Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India) and Balaraman Ravindran (Indian Institute of Technology-Madras, Chennai, India)
- TUTORIAL: Auctions and Mechanism Design by Y. Narahari (Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore) and Dinesh Garg (Yahoo! Labs, Bangalore, India)
- WORKSHOP: Knowledge Automation Applications in Service Centers (Ram Akella, Raghuram Krishnapuram, Shantanu Godbole, and Kartik Visvesvaraiah)

Registration for Tutorials and Workshops is also handled through PaperPlaza and all registrants need a PIN for PaperPlaza. If you do not have a PIN, please go to https://ras.papercept.net/conferences/scripts/pinwizard.pl to create a new PIN and password for yourself. Once you have a PIN, you can register using the link https://ras.papercept.net/registration/index.php.
Registering for the conference is not mandatory for registering for the tutorials/workshops. However, for conference registrants, a discount of 50 percent is available on the workshops/tutorials.
Early bird registration is encouraged to avoid last minute rush and also to make best use of the attractive early bird offers. Registration during the conference is discouraged though it is allowed.
