CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

To support various activities during this conference, we need volunteers. All volunteers must be available between August 21 and August 25 and must be willing to carry out the assigned duties. These duties range from staffing registration desks, helping to conduct the technical sessions, and coordinating various event activities with the location coordinators. We prefer to receive applications from research students or faculty who are currently pursuing a Ph.D. program in any academic institution in the Bangalore area. Each volunteer will be able to attend any lecture or session as long as it does not conflict with the assigned duties. Volunteers will also be invited to the lunches, conference banquet, and coffee breaks. We are only accepting a maximum of 20 volunteers for CASE 2009. If you are interested and willing to serve as a volunteer, please send an email to Prof. Y. Narahari (hari@csa.iisc.ernet.in) with: (1) A one page bio-data; (2) A short statement of why you like to volunteer in this event - do include a few lines about your Ph.D. topic to justify why attending this conference is important to you. (3) Sessions that you like to attend, if there is an opportunity. Send your email before August 15, 2009. We will notify you before August 18, 2009 if you are selected as a volunteer.
